Stylist Secrets: Top Tips for Reviving Fine, Thin and Heat-Damaged Hair

If your fine or thin hair is often exposed to heat styling, the sun, the ocean, chlorine, or has chemical damage (i.e.: you dye it), read on! We speak with two professional Hollywood stylists, who share with us their best tips for reviving your hair!

Fine and thin hair types often require extra care—especially when they have been exposed to any of the above damaging factors. This is due to the fact that fine and thin can far more easily become damaged than most other hair types. And who doesn’t want thick, healthy hair?

The good news? There are some awesome steps you can take to restore your damaged hair back to better health. Pro Hollywood hair stylist Linda Flowers shares her number one piece of advice. “If your hair gets compromised, get on a good haircare regime. I recommend the HASK line and the HASK Miracle Damage Repair Cream,” says Linda. “You also have to nourish the hair every day. Use a HASK 5-in-1 Leave-In Spray. Choose which one according to what kind of damage you have. And always follow with HASK Miracle Cream. Apply all over if needed, but for sure on the ends. Resilient hair will ensure style memory and lasting body when you style.”

Just why is the HASK Argan Oil Miracle Damage Repair Cream so effective for repairing damaged hair? “The HASK Miracle Damage Repair Cream is unique because the cuticle smoothing complex really targets split ends and helps control frizz with one application,” explains Linda. “It can be used every day, helps seal the cuticle, and provides heat protection up to 232°C. Argan oil really helps to keep the ends of your hair healthy and resilient. The light coating it puts on the hair helps to block moisture and defines the texture in your hair.”

In addition to the HASK Miracle Damage Repair Cream, pro hair stylist Lori McCoy-Bell stresses the importance of replenishing both protein and moisture back into your strands. “For straight, heat-damaged hair, you’ll want to focus on restoring its natural proteins. Leave-in treatments are great. You need to add a great balance of protein and moisture treatments. For sealing in moisture, use deep conditioners with coconut oil or argan oil, such as HASK’s Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner. And always use a 5-in-1 Leave-In by HASK, such as the Keratin 5-in-1 Leave-in Spray for protein. This is a great mix that your hair will love and drink up!”
