How to Refresh Your Hair Between Wash Days
As the weather heats up and higher humidity levels set in, you may be finding that your hair becomes oily faster. Rather than reaching straight for the shampoo bottle, why not try giving your hair a quick refresh and reset between wash days? Read on to discover our ‘hair refresh’ guide for in-between wash days.
Benefits of the hair refresh
If you’re still wondering whether the hair refresh is for you, here are its three main benefits:
- It’s a quick and easy way to have a great day hair. If you’re looking for a way to speed up your beauty routine and achieve gorgeous hair fast (and really, who isn’t?), the hair refresh is for you.
- Washing your hair less often is better for hair. This one really is a long-term benefit. Washing your hair too frequently strips its essential natural oils and can cause damage over time. Opting for a ‘hair refresh’ to extend the time between your washes is an easy way to protect your hair health.
- If you do it right, your second or third day hair might look even better than the first! As you’ll see, the benefits of the hair refresh include better volume and high shine. Perfecting your hair refresh technique may mean better hair days are on the horizon.

In the morning, turn your head upside down and use the right dry shampoo (they are not all the same). Massage it into your scalp, flip your head over and maybe tweak with an iron if you need to.”
STEP 2: HASK Hair Oil
To prevent and manage second (and third and fourth) day frizz, smooth hair with a HASK Hair Oil. “My top tip for frizz on-set is to use one of the HASK Hair Oils,” says pro hair stylist Linda Flowers. “I like the HASK Hair Oils because they are quick and work well, plus I can nourish the hair with moisture or protein depending on what my actor needs for their hair. I always have with me the HASK Coconut Oil or Argan Oil for moisture and the Keratin Oil to keep the hair strong.”

Choose your favourite HASK Hair Oil…
Argan Oil Repairing Hair Oil: repairs damage and restores shine to frizzy hair.
Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Hair Oil: hydrates and moisturises for softer strands.
